Happy New Year

January 2006 (looking back)

So I rang in the new year with sparkling cranberry. Geez I miss drinking!

I've now made it more than 3 months and no morning sickness. Can't complain! I've had a pretty easy go of it. I am secretly terrified that I will be punished with horrific labour or obnoxious children since this part has been so easy.

Spilling the Beans

December 2005 (looking back)

Went out to chop down our Christmas tree in Chester with Amy and Paul. Ed brought a few beers to help with the hard work of chopping. Amy tried to get me to help her finish her beer and when I flatly refused, she freaked.

Next on the list were Mom and Don. Gave them an ornament for their Christmas tree. Very cute little baby crib ornament, needless to say there were tears (of joy mom assures us :-) Then Kim and Dean arrived to share in the fun. Called Anne in Florida and Dad out West later that night. Think everyone was pretty excited to say the least.

Also had to spill the beans to a few friends over the holidays. Not generally being one to say 'no thanks' to a bit of Christmas Cheer, eyebrows were raised immediately when I had Ginger Ale with my dinner instead of wine. Sucks to be a boozer with a secret.. doesn't last long!

Great Grampy Belliveau got a special gift on Christmas eve. Although he has many great-grand kids already, I think he was pretty excited for us too.

Holy S*#!

November 2005 (looking back)

So I took the test. One line means no, two lines meens yes. I, get no lines. Obviously if I am not capable of peeing on a stick I am not capable of creating or raising a life. Decide to wait a few days and try again.

Few days later, try again. Two lines. Did not think it was possible to be happy and terrified (and slightly nauseous) at the same time.

In the beginning

October 2005 (looking back)

Obviously I'm not going into the details on this one, but needless to say a life was created. No more details for a full month until I started getting a bit suspicious!

For First Timers

So, here is my very first blog posting. For those of you new to 'blogging' here's what it means:

Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger".

So my plan is to keep this journal of my baby progress. That way friends and famliy can see the latest updates and interesting facts if they want to, however will not be forced to listen to all the details (and beleive me there are many and I could go on and on and on...).
